| The Checkerboard Inn offers more to our customers than the average restaurant. Along with fine dining and a friendly bar atmosphere, we cater parties from casual clam bakes to formal receptions. Our Private Banquet/Dining Room seats approximately one hundred people, while The Grove will hold up to three hundred guests.
The Grove is the most versatile building on the premises. The seating pavilion is conveniently connected to its own kitchen and serving area. With its relaxed outdoor setting, casual parties may enjoy the volleyball court, horseshoe pits, pool tables, and many other extras. The Grove complex can also be elaborately decorated for formal parties and receptions (see picture below). |

 | | Banquet parties can be either sit-down dinners or buffets. There are many menu combinations from which to choose. Our Private Banquet/Dining room is perfect for family reunions and parties, to more intimate wedding receptions. |

With many dishes from which to choose, The Checkerboard's off-site catering has much to offer. Selected dishes will be delivered and set up at a pre-scheduled time. Our staff will then return to pick up any utensils and service-ware when your party is over. Enjoy your guests... and Leave the cooking to us!
